15 February 2024

We invite you to participate in the 2nd Opening conference of the project “LIFE After Coal PL – Implementation of the Climate Neutrality Strategy. Eastern Wielkopolska 2040”

The event, titled “Wielkopolska’s road to climate neutrality,” will be held on February 23 this year, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Session room of the Office of the Marshal of the Wielkopolska Region in Poznan, 34 Niepodległości Avenue.

The conference will be a good opportunity to discuss the most pressing challenges facing regions on the road to climate neutrality with a special focus on the transformation of coal regions. The planned event will also include a signing ceremony of the Powering Past Coal Alliance (PPCA) declaration in the presence of the ambassadors of the UK and Canada to Poland, as representatives of the governments that initiated the coalition at COP23 in 2017, in Bonn. The PPCA is the world’s first and only coalition of national and local governments and businesses working together to move away from coal-fired power generation.

Willingness to participate in the conference should be submitted to: life.dsk@umww.pl.
