Training in the operation and use of electric cars
31 July 2024

On June 28 (1st edition) and July 30 (2nd edition) at the Driving Technique Improvement Centre in Kalisz, a training in the operation of electric cars was held, intended for municipal and district climate advisors. The advisors are employees of local government units, mainly in Eastern Wielkopolska, but also in Kalisz, Ostrów Wielkopolski and Wągrowiec. As part of the implementation of the “Life After Coal PL” project, the advisors will take part in a pilot concept of “mini car sharing“, consisting in sharing electric cars depending on the needs by several municipalities and districts, hence the need to conduct the training.

Through a tender, the project coordinator, the Marshal’s Office of the Wielkopolska Region in Poznań, purchased seven electric cars of the Dacia Spring brand. This small, urban vehicle was created with the concept of “mini car sharing” in mind, which is becoming increasingly popular in the centers of European cities. During the theoretical part of the training, the Dacia representative discussed in detail the issues of charging and operating the car. The practical part took place on the square of the Driving Technique Improvement Center under the watchful eye of local instructors.
