Green Energy in Education
18 November 2025

A conference titled “Green Energy in Education” was held at the Konin Cultural Center on Przemysłowa Street in Konin. One of the highlights of the program was the signing of an agreement aimed at strengthening vocational education in the field of green energy. The partnership brings together the Center for Craft Support, Dual and Vocational Education in Konin, the Mining and Energy School Complex in Konin, and the Municipal Waste Management Facility, which coordinates the “Konin Green Energy Cluster.” The cluster will be the first to offer students vocational internships related to modern energy technologies.

The event is part of a broader initiative to promote the energy transition in Eastern Greater Poland, where innovative projects are underway, such as green hydrogen production and electric vehicle technology.

Jacek Willecki, a member of the LIFE After Coal PL project management team, emphasized during the conference the role of the younger generation in the transition process, the importance of intergenerational cooperation, and the impact of education on building the skills of the future. He also noted that the development of practical skills and interest in green technologies are key to the region’s economic success. This is also an important step toward supporting technologies and the labor market related to renewable energy sources.
