7 December 2024On 5.12.2024. – 06.12.2024, the LifeAfterCoalPL project was presented at the Conference “Linked by LIFE” organized by the project EcoMalopolska Project for Climate, where our project was represented by Tomasz Szydłowski – Member of the LifeAfterCoalPL Project Coordinating Team.
On the first day during the opening speeches of the conference spoke: Justyna Mazurkiewicz – Manager of the EcoMalopolska for Climate project, and Tomasz Pietrusiak Deputy Director of the Department of Environment at the Marshal’s Office of the Malopolska Region.
During the “Let’s get to know each other” session, participants had the opportunity to hear presentations from invited LIFE projects.
- Krzysztof Wojcik of CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency familiarized the attendees with the specifics of LIFE projects and encouraged them to participate in the new calls for 2025.
- Andrzej Muter, Head of the LIFE Department at the National Environmental Protection Agency, gave a presentation on Poland’s achievements to date in terms of history and previous calls for the use of LIFE project funds.
- Maciej Pyrka, Expert from CAKE/KOBIZE presented CAKE’s experience in implementing projects co-financed by LIFE funds.
- Tomasz Szydlowski, gave a presentation on the goals, progress, achievements and challenges of the LifeAfterCoalPL project – Implementing the Strategy for Climate Neutrality of Eastern Wielkopolska 2040. During the presentation, the attendees were informed, among other things, about the provision of 7 electric cars to Climate Advisors within the Project
as part of the mini car sharing network and the launch of Postgraduate Studies for Climate Advisors by the University of Life Sciences in Poznań.
