Hydrogen in Eastern Greater Poland – time for concrete action!
The energy transition is gaining momentum, and hydrogen is increasingly making its mark as the fuel of the future. Poland is one of Europe’s leading hydrogen producers, and government strategies foresee the dynamic development of so-called hydrogen valleys, the construction of transmission infrastructure and an increase in production to more than 1.27 million tons per year by 2030.
In regions such as Eastern Greater Poland – facing the challenge of a just transition – hydrogen technologies can play a key role in creating new jobs, decarbonizing industry and becoming less dependent on fossil fuels.
New regulations – new opportunities for companies
As of January 2025, Poland has a so-called hydrogen law. This is a landmark change that allows, among other things, concession exemptions and sets a new framework for hydrogen energy storage and transmission. This is a real opportunity for companies looking to develop innovative hydrogen projects and technologies.

In response to the growing interest in hydrogen as an element of green transformation, the Regional Development Agency S.A. in Konin – in cooperation with the Get to Know Hydrogen Platform and MH.energy Sp. z o.o. – invites entrepreneurs to a free training course as part of the “Get to Know Hydrogen” series.
