On October 29-30, 2024, a workshop organized by the project coordinator – the Office of the Marshal of the Wielkopolska Region in Poznan – was held in the Wielkopolska Castle in Rokosowo. The event was attended by 40 climate advisors from 33 municipalities and counties working under the Project entitled “LIFE AFTER COAL PL – Implementation of the Strategy for Climate Neutrality of Eastern Wielkopolska 2040”.

The workshop was opened by Ms. Marzena Andrzejewska-Wierzbicka – Director of the Department of Environmental and Climate Management of the UMWW, then the current tasks in the project were discussed, including the organization of postgraduate studies to improve the competencies of climate advisors, reporting related to project implementation and financial issues. The advisors received multimedia projectors to help them carry out their tasks. There was time for substantive and edifying exchange of insights.

The second day of the workshop focused on sources of financing for the energy transition of households and businesses. Climate and energy advisors from the Wielkopolska Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management – Bartosz Iwanowski and Krystian Margan, also introduced the participants of the event to the goals and idea of the Energy Advisory Project. The principles of the Project were discussed in detail, and the participants were familiarized with the principles of programs implemented by the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Poznan, such as the continuous call for applications and the call for projects related to energy efficiency and air protection.

In the next part of the meeting, advisors acquainted participants with the possibilities of subsidizing investments in renewable energy sources and improving energy efficiency under the programs: “Agroenergy”, “My Heat”, “My Current 6.0” and “My Wind Power Plant”.

During the course of the training, participants asked questions and a discussion was held on the scope of investments subject to funding under the various programs.
